"I am fascinated by the relationship between plants and water. Ever since my MSc thesis, when I studied stomatal conductance of external pageriparian vegetation, I have been growing an interest in the "green" water cycle, the water fluxes controlled by vegetation. My PhD project is carried out at the waldlabor, our study site in the forest near ETH Hönggerberg where we track and measure water fluxes. I try to observe what happens to plants when soil becomes dry and how hydrological models reflect these observations."
