Introduction to Water Resources Management

The course aims at an introduction of principles and tools of (sustainable) water resources management. It focuses on understanding:

  • the basic principles of competitive use of water resources
  • methods used to determine water demand and water availability
  • methods used to design water resources infrastructure
  • interaction between water infrastructure and rivers
  • principles of environmental impact assessment
  • principles of economic and reliability analysis
